The problem is that for some of them theres no real description of what they do (and the majority of his mods never had any mod-pages on Nexus at all even), which is a shame. In addition, that's monthly active users for Steam, but just registered users for Nexus, skewing the numbers even more in Steam's favour, without even getting into people who don't want to piss about with Nexus' ♥♥♥♥♥♥ manager, or who don't like having to juggle two different sources for getting things, or who don't trust external sites, or who thinks Workshop is good enough so they don't care to look elsewhere, or anything else like that. I linked to a few mod-pages on Nexus but the deleted user for those mods (Ratchet) stopped updating mods on Nexus and uploaded updated versions of those mods (and quite a few other mods) on his own website. Steam and Nexus have (according to wikipedia) 95 and 25 million users, so Steam's OBVIOUSLY the larger and more well known service. Yes Nexus has been around for a long time, but it's hardly some sort of universal thing that everyone uses, while literally every game that has workshop content has that content and the workshop itself being suggested to you on its own page. This must be a new feature I haven't seen yet. I wasn't aware Steam had started advertising Nexus right inside its own program interface, along with suggesting popular recent mods.
